Small Species Study Red fox Number of pups/ baby pups colors

In the winter red foxes meet other foxes to mate. The female of the couple usually gives birth to 2-12 pups. when born red foxes actually have a brown coat of fur or a gray coat of fur. Some red foxes are really weird colors for them like golden, reddish- brown, silver, or sometimes even black. So not all red foxes are red. Since the parents have their pup in the winter they take care of it until the fall.
